Pes 2010

PES 2010/ Pro Evolution Soccer 2010

Well, I haven't touched this blog for over 2 months or 3, now I'm in desperate need of LA ace so I can get a B3 for Independence Studies and not get sent to 3Q... Only after being told we would be sent to 3Q for achieving a B4 or more for Independent Studies today during assembly, did I finally realize how much I dreaded dropping out of iSpark and really have to buck up...

Pro Evolution Soccer(PES) is a soccer video game.It focuses on enhancing the excitement of matches between players or against artificial intelligence (which will occasionally outsmart you D:), making a truly challenging experience that constantly tests the player. Players have to constantly find new ways to defend and strategies to score a goal/break through the enemies' defenses as there are different difficulty levels in the game, each varying a lot from the other in terms of the AI, meaning the demand for new tactics to win the game.

PES 2010 focuses on being a real soccer simulation(which is much better than Fifa 2010 :D), as it requires both strategic play and quick reactions, as in real life. In addition to key out-field elements, goalkeepers are more versatile and with abilities matching those of modern shot-stoppers compared to the previous series. The game's referees have also been reworked, with smarter AI elements allowing them to make more balanced calls during matches. PES 2010 has undergone a major visual revamp, with its celebrated player likenesses and animations now even closer to those of real-life players.

I believe PES 2010 the most realistic football simulation available. I found out that PES Productions, Konami's Tokyo-based development team, has collated feedback on the series' strengths and weaknesses via fan forums etc and has incorporated a wide range of requests in the new game. This results in the most challenging, realistic and satisfying PES to date (to me). What more could you ask for? A portable, REALISTIC soccer game! I really love soccer (real or virtual), I can't really tell why but maybe it's just in the vein of males XD. Thought the graphics isn't really good, it is still considerably good for a PSP game. Moreover, it is better than Fifa (in my opinion) as it is more challenging and responsive.

Ratings:
Graphics: 9/10
Sound: 7/10 (All you hear is the crowd cheering constantly and maybe increase their volume when you/the opponent is near the penalty box and the same ol' "It's a goal!", "Goal!" or "What a goal!" when you or someone else scores...)
Content: 10/10 (Alot of different games which you can play like Master League, UEFA Championship and a ton of other Cups. There is also a PES shop where you can buy secret features within the game. Or you can play Become a Legend, where you control only one player and try to "raise" him to the top.)

You HAVE to try it. This is now my favorite PSP game, not Metal Gear Solid anymore... =P
