The poem 'Where the Sidewalk ends' by Shel Silverstein.
The poem was very gloom, but also a little inspiring at the same time. The feelings of the poet was separated into 2 sides. The dark and dull side was his sadness and the bright side, where grass grew soft and asphalt flowers grew, is happiness. This poem tells us about how the people felt.It tells us that there is a brighter side other than the dark and gloomy side that many people was on. The children had no care in the world and were always happy and thus, were always on the bright side. The people on the dull side hopes to go to the bright side.

'I wandered lonely as a cloud' by William Wordsworth
This poem depicts happiness. He imagined that he was a little cloud and flew over places where thousands of daffodils where dancing in the breeze under the tree. Even the waves were dancing. Practically everything was dancing when he saw it. This shows how happy he was.

An Evening by Gwendolyn Brooks
This is another sad poem, this poet depicts the poets sadly after his sweet love's death. 'Sad blue hills afar' tells you obviously that he is sad. 'Scarcely a tear to shed; Hardly a word to say; ' This sentence from the poem might suggest that he felt shock and traumatized after his 'sweet love' died.
